OCTOBER 2007
Martin Clifton will be directing the pantomime for 2008. The pantomime has
not yet been decided but the dates for auditions are Sunday 21st October 3pm
Juniors & 5pm Adults.
If you can sing, act, dance, play the piano or paint then come along. PVADS
always welcomes new members.
For more information on this production contact Martin on 01672 810 436.
The dates for the productions are January 11th 12th 18th and 19th 2008.
This year's carnival event
was enjoyed by young and old and held as another success for PVADS. The 40's
themed night was produced by Paul Hornbogen and John Lavis.
With a live swing band, chorus dancing and air raids taking place - not to
mention the search light which dominated the Bouverie Hall car park and when
lit it could been seen from a five mile radius. Also on offer were spam sandwiches,
jelly and peaches. Everyone turned out in 40's costumes ranging from army
uniforms to smart suits.
Congratulations to all involved.
The theme for the carnival
float was SuperHeroes, and members of the Society dressed up for the occasion.
The float looked fantastic with the paintings, lights, spider's web, bat mobile
and the spider pig. Thanks must go to Jonathan Barley for his construction
work and to Alex Cuff for organising the float. A good time was had by all.
There will be an evening of
one act plays on 18th, 19th & 20th October. There will be a youth play 'The
Fall of the House of Usher' by Edgar Allan Poe. The adult plays that will
be preformed are "Two Woman and a chair" and "A kind of justice". Both adult
plays went to the One Act Play Festival in Swindon and won awards.
Tickets are available from 8th October at the Bouverie Hall Box Office - 10am
- 12pm, or you can call 01672 564 or 01672 810 436 to book tickets.
