NOVEMBER 2007
Congratulations to Nettie and Martin for putting together another fantastic
evening's entertainment in October. All three One Act Plays were well received
on all three nights of the production.
The youth play 'The Fall of the House of Usher' by Edgar Allan Poe was directed
by Nettie Powell. The set was simple but very effective. The material used
to represent stones was used to the full, with the children standing behind
pushing their hands and faces through, giving a creepy impression. All of
the children gave a fantastic performance each night. Nettie Powell has decided
to enter the play into next years Swindon's One Act Play festival
. Both award winning adult plays were also enjoyed by the audiences. "Two
Woman and a chair" and "A kind of justice". All of the cast members gave fantastic
individual performances. All three nights were attended well, although the
Rugby World Cup final was also taking place on the Saturday evening.
The auditions for the Pantomime
have taken place and parts have been allocated. Both the youth and the adult
auditions were well attended.
The pantomime will be Robinson Crusoe and the Pirates. Martin Clifton
will be directing this production and Rachel Veale will be choreographing.
The dates for the productions are January 11th 12th 18th and 19th 2008.
The cast have already commented on how strong the script is, and can't wait
to perform it
