Changes 1: Pete Bond
Regretfully, Pete Bond is unable to continue as chairman of PVADS and has passed the office on to the deputy chair Tiggy Holmes. Pete is standing down from the committee altogether but remains a committed and long serving member of PVADS, and we look forward to his continuing and welcome contribution to our shows and activities.
Tiggy is now our chairman and I know she can look forward to everyone's support in getting us through to the next AGM.
We announced changes in the format in Tavern this year, but many people said they didn't notice much different. Well, everyone will notice next year as our plans are very different. The basic idea is to hold a formal ball, with proper live music, ladies in posh frocks and gentlemen in formal attire. Our plans include a buffet supper and a 40 minute floor show.
There will be only one event, on the Saturday in the middle of carnival fortnight, so buy your tickets early to avoid disappointment.

Despite some technical problems
on the first night, this year's show was very successful. Two powerful new
loudspeakers have been purchased and the set up of the sound system has been
completely revised to ensure that similar problems can never occur again.
Financial results were good and the committee approved a donation of £500.00.
Our cheque for that amount was handed over to Pewsey Carnival Committee.
The pantomime has been fully cast and rehearsals are well under way. Dates of the performances are shown in the panel below, and the ticket price is £6.00 (£5.00 for concessions). Posters have been drafted and will be distributed in mid December.
Along with many familiar faces, there are two newcomers in principal roles; Carolyn Mills as Fairy Tranquilheart and Claire Hopkins as Jill. We also welcome back after a long gap, Vicki Underwood in the role of ElizabethElspethBetsy'nBess (that's just one person.. ).
There are some new faces in the chorus; Emilie Hay, Della Matthews, Georgina Underwood, Jenny Hughes and Shanice Collinson.
