Nick joined Pewsey Vale Amateur Dramatic Society in March 1998. It was his first group ever and he had not been on the stage before, nowadays though there is no holding him back! . His first appearance was in the Tavern of 1998, which included several sketches written by Nick. Following bit parts in ‘My Fair Lady’ he got the role of the Ugly Sister ‘Ruby’ in Cinderella. Since that time he has been in nearly all our Pantomimes normally in the comic role. Nick has discovered that he can write successful scripts and this has been put to use in many Taverns. However perhaps his most successful writing to date was in the year 2000 when he was asked to update a previous script, by Peter English, in order to celebrate the 1000 years in the PVADS Pageant 'Kennet Tales'. Nick added to the script from very early 1900's to 2000 and it was a job well done. He took the principal part of Billy in PVADS' Carousel and a lead role in our successful April 2002 play 'Out of Order'. He has branched out and has appeared with other Societies in Devizes, PVADS however will always remain his home. He played Dame in our 2003 Panto 'Mother Goose' and appeared in our entry in the Swindon One Act Play Festival. He was involved in The Wizard of Oz, our 2004 panto Jack & The Beanstalk, our 2005 Panto Beauty and the Beast and our April 2005 Play. His most recent role is as Lloyd The Director in PVADS 2006 production of Noises Off. Nick is also PVADS Vice Chairman.
