If
you missed this- you missed a real triumph! Congratulations have to go to
all involved in this very challenging piece - not only did we pull it off
- we excelled! It was a consummate piece of teamwork from everyone. The audience
were rolling in their seats and ached with laughter- the cast just ached!!
Attendance was very high - although we could have squeezed a few more in on
Wednesday (please don't avoid first nights - we are starting to play to sell
out audiences on our Friday and Saturday performances - and first night is
not a dress rehearsal - contrary to the N.O. script!)
There are lots of reviews on the Reviews Page - please feel free to add to
them!
Several of our members will
be staging an evening performance of plays and sketches at Easton Royal on
Saturday 24th June. If you are interested in being involved please contact

There was a good turn out
for 'ideas night' for tavern. Thank you all for coming.
The theme is Las Vegas Showtime and we look forward to a spectacular event!!
Youth Theatre Summer School
- 14th - 18th August
There are only a few places
left for the drama week - if you are thinking about being involved please
let me know soon.
The theme for this year is 'King Alfred' (loosely) so for our performance
on Friday we will be offering tea and 'burnt cakes' for refreshment. You will
learn about stage fighting, improvisation, dance movements and comedy timing!
The cost for the week is £30 for up to date members, £35 non-members. Applications

The workshop will be from 1-6pm Mon - Thu and all day Friday.
Audition
notice - 'Our Day Out'
Auditions
for this musical play will be held in the Bouverie Hall at 2.30pm on Sunday
2nd July.
There are 10 principal roles and up to 25 chorus parts.
Nettie is also looking for musicians to play on some of the numbers. Please
contact her asap if you can play drums, guitar or flute.
Rehearsals will be on most Sunday afternoons from July with pm rehearsals
21st - 23rd, 29th, 30h Aug and you must be able to attend each day during
October half term.
Performances 26th to 28th Oct.
Auditions will involve some script reading and group singing and a workshop
style improvisation. Principals will be asked to sing solo piece.

We have been contacted by
a television company who are currently producing a new show for ITV1 called
'It's Now or Never' and are looking for amateur performers who have something
special the want to tell a loved one in an original, all-singing, all-dancing

Another amateur group are
performing Noises Off at Vernham Dean Millennium Hall on 17th, 19th and 20th
