MAY 2002
Both ideas
nights have been held and the 2002 production will be named as above.
It was felt that the name “Tavern” is so widely known and understood
that it would be unwise to lose it altogether, but it can be phased out over
a period of time.
Tiggy and Colin are putting the show together and the first rehearsal will be in the Bouverie Hall on Wednesday 12th June at 7:30pm. Thereafter rehearsals are scheduled at 7:00pm on Sundays and 7:30pm on Wednesdays.
In order to choreograph the chorus numbers, Tiggy needs to know how many people there will be. If you want to be in the chorus and have not already done so, please let Tiggy know (01672 563 735)
The PVADS committee agreed to donate £50.00 to Pewsey Hasbeens to sponsor this event.
Volunteers
Please: All village organisation have been
invited to participate in the organisation of this day and we are calling
for people to represent PVADS. There
is a series of events, but you need only commit to one or two hours at the
event of your choice. Contact
Pete Bond for details (01672 563 278).
Due to a clash of commitments PVADS will not be able to present a One Act Play after all.
Bouverie Hall Stage – Re-Staining
A working party will meet at the Bouverie Hall at 10:30am on Sunday 9th June. Just turn up n the day if you are able to help. . .
What
can I say? It was a huge success!
We got really good coverage in the local press before (and after) the event and we played to three full houses. If you didn’t see the write up in the Gazette & Herald, you can read the text of their coverage on the PVADS website (web address at the top of this newsletter).
Congratulations
to Martin and Simone and to the entire company.
It looks like we caught the mood of the village with this production.
It was marvellous to hear the audience response to what was a very funny show.
We certainly reversed the recent downturn in attendance at our Spring Production. Let’s keep the momentum going . . . . .
A video of the Wednesday night performance is on sale from Fairplay Video Productions at £10.00. If you want a copy just contact me (details at bottom of this newsletter).
