NEWSLETTER Monthly News & Info
JUNE
2005
New Newsletter Editor
Andy Vowles has passed
the mantle of the monthly newsletter to me, Nettie Powell, after a sterling run
bringing us up to date news on everything going on within PVADS. Thank you Andy
for all your hard work.
I thought this might be a good opportunity to
update our mailing list to make sure that everyone that wants a newsletter gets
one and vica versa. For everyone that receives an e- newsletter I have attached
a read receipt - this is so I can ensure that the mail is getting to you - please
send replies as requested. I will also be calling on all other recipients when
I deliver paper newsletters.
Finally - the newsletter is your forum for
advertising anything to do with forthcoming shows and events. If you have any
articles to be included please send them to me on:- nettie.powell@btinternet.com
or call 01672 562248. I will endeavour to produce a monthly letter so last entries
need to be with me by 24th of the month.
Spring
Play - Albert Make us Laugh
The spring play was very well received - we had
very good numbers for the audiences on all 3 nights and too many positive comments
to list. Have you read the reviews on the web site? The Gazette and Herald managed
a couple of really up beat articles too.
My thanks go to all involved
- it was a triumph both technically and ddramatically. Congratulations to everyone.
Youth Theatre Final, Frome, Somerset
PVADS Youth Theatre put
on a brilliant performance of "A Dog's Life" at the Merlin Theatre, Frome last
month. The winners were Stoke St Gregory Youth Group (for 6th time!) with a serious
ensemble piece.
We did feel a little out of place with such a small
cast and the more traditional 'One Act' but certainly a good experience for the
Youth Theatre
