John joined the society in 1992 and his first role was the King in the panto 'Little Miss Muffet'. Since then he has appeared in nine pantos in a variety of different roles. The most notable being the villainous Squire in 2003 years panto Mother Goose. He has appeared in many 'Taverns' both in chorus and sketches and John made his singing debut in 1997. He has had cameo roles in the musicals 'Sound of Music' and 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat' and in 2001 took on the role of Jigger Craigin in 'Carousel'. In 2002 he was the hotel manager in the very successful production of 'Out of Order' and May 2003's production of 'Caught in the Net' gave him his most challenging role as 'John Smith'. He appeared in PVADS production of 'The Wizard of OZ', our 2004 panto, Jack & The Beanstalk, our 2005 Pantomimne Beauty & The Beast and will appear again in our April 2005 play. Having appeared in most of the PVADS productions over the last eleven years John's next ambition was to be involved with the production team of a show, and he will be producing PVADS 2006 Tavern along with Paul Hornbogen.
