JANUARY 2008

One Act Play Festival

This year the annual "Harold Joliffe" one act play festival will be in Swindon on the 14th to the 16th of February, and PVADS will be submitting 2 plays for involvement in the competition.

The adult entry will be a fast paced comedy called "Verve" by Mark Lucas Based on middle aged man, down trodden by his wife, who is pushed too far and finally snaps, with hilarious results. Directed once more by Martin Clifton, we are hoping to do as well as last year when we won the best director award, as well as the best supporting actor.

The youth entry Directed by Nettie Powell will be the rather more serious and haunting "Fall Of The House Of Usher" by Edgar Allan Poe. Performed originally in October 07, the talented youth production hope to continue the success of last year where they won the "best youth performance"

New Logo

We are currently looking to revamp our logo and are looking to you our supporters to come up with some suggestions. What does PVADS mean to you, and how would represent that in a new logo? The offer is open to all, young or old, New member or stalwart. Just commit your design to either paper, or (for the more technically gifted) computer and send it to Brad Harris, 19 Raffin Lane Pewsey SN9 5HJ or email it to bradlleypharris@tiscali.co.uk .

Closing date is the 13th of June. Be creative!
