Can't remember what the last stupid thing i told you about was!!!!..............

Anyhoo - this week - went to Milford Sound and took a boat cruise which was brilliant - was a really magical place - and saw lots of seals and dolphins....ahhhhhhhh.

Then it was on to Wanaka for a few days of lazing around and playing a few rounds of mini - golf before heading to Franz Josef to do a Heli-hike. Now i am not sure what i expected a glacier to look like but it was absolutely amazing. Got helicopter to top to begin hike and as i stepped out of the helicopter i made another cracking blonde comment - "oh my god it's really slippery" funny that you silly tart seeing as you are standing on a mountain of ice!!! Was brilliant fun, spent a few hours on the ice with our picks trying to get through tunnels and up ridges without falling to our deaths!!! Picture of me looking stunning here!

In the afternoon we drove to nearby Fox Glacier and climbed the mountain next to it so that we could have a good look. Brilliant day but bloody knackering so was very pleased to get back to the hostel and into the sauna - yeah baby!!!! The next day i did something i have always wanted to do but oddly (being a country bumpkin) have never done - horse riding. Did a 2 hour trek through some amazing scenery and according to the woman i am a natural - well hello of course!! ended up going in a non-beginner group and oh my god i never realised what hard work it is this trotting business. There was me thinking you just sat there admiring the scenery and the horse did all the work but how naive i was, is more like doing squats constantly for 2 hours - and oh my god did it feel like it too!!! Definitely something i want to do again though was great fun.

And so to today - we are currently at Abel Tasman National Park and getting some sun which is brilliant. So another day, another new activity, and todays.......sea kayaking.

Wow, well who ever thought that outdoor activities could be so much fun - not me that's for sure. But as Rose rightly pointed out to me all this is doing absolutely nothing for my nails!!! Was amazing though, chuffing hard work, my arms are now sore and i have blisters on my hands but strangely i don't care. Anyone up for Kayaking the Kennet and Avon with me when i get back??!!!!!

And so as the end of the holiday draws near it only seems right to fit in a few more crazy antics before i leave...........................yet again watch this space!!!

Only a couple of days left on the South island before we catch the ferry over to the North for our last couple of weeks.....long may the fun continue............

Hope you are really well and yes i do know about the Coopers...better be back in action in a couple of weeks otherwise how will you all be able to buy me a welcome home drink!

Heaps of love Ceej xxxxxxxxxxxx
