Well it's 6pm here and am already contemplating going to bed!!!!

Had my first stupid o'clock start this morning and it nearly killed me, despite going to bed at a kinda reasonable hour - i was still awake at 1:30 this morning thinking "oh my god i have to get up in a couple of hours!".

Managed, by some miracle of god to haul my arse out of bed and by quarter past 5 was sitting at the bus stop in pitch black wondering if anybody in the world actually likes getting up at such a ridicuolous time - began listing all the positives about being up so early - meant i would have finished a whole days work by 2 o'clock - it was still warm (no need to wear the cardigan i had in my hand!) it means.....i didn't have to.......no SOD IT absolutely no other positives at all!!!!!

Work is going a lot better - am surprised at how quickly the day goes now that i am not being shouted at and actually know what i'm doing. Was shown how to open up today and when the boss came in he asked me if i thought i would be able to manage ok doing it on my own to which my reply was - "listen, in comparison to getting up, it's gonna be a piece of piss!". Am getting on really well with the woman now and we keep having a laugh taking the piss out of people - she didn't even shout at me today when i managed to get a bit of toast caught in the toaster, which caught on fire and managed to fill the whole take-away and cafe sections with smoke - god i'm good!!! Was absolutely pissing myself yesterday (am such a cheeky monkey) had been a delay in the kitchen and i hadn't been able to get my list of sandwiches finished - am so important you know - i have my own list!!!

Anyway, when the stuff finally arrived it was a mad panic and i was already doing something else so my boss had to do mine. Ahhhaaaa chance for revenge spotted - i stood over her shouting "faster Ves, come on you need to work faster, i must have quicker staff or we shall never get anything done". We were wetting ourselves, she was saying i can't concentrate when you are shouting at me - yer see its not nice is it!!!!

So how was everyone's Easter Weekends? On sunday it was a cracker of a day - yet again (is meant to be 30 again on Friday - and this is their Autumn - think i really might die when it gets to Summer!!) me and Zara went to Darling Harbour - i really enjoy going there as always so much free entertainment!! Was loads of acrobatic demonstrations on and street entertainers. We were watching one act and Zara managed to get picked as a volunteer out of the hundreds of people who were standing around (so not impressed) the bloke was balancing up a ladder and wanted her to throw him a rope which had a chainsaw on the end which he then proceeded to juggle with (some people will do anything for money!) Was an absolute classic as she attempted to throw this rope about 5 times but kept throwing it wrong and was getting redder by the second. In the end he had to come down the ladder and just grab it off her - i as am sure you can imagine was absolutely wetting myself by this point and only managed to just make out the crazy juggling through all the tears that were streaming down my face!!!

On monday afternoon me and Alex decided to go for a walk round the Rocks - it wasn't until we were on the way back that we realised we are getting too use to living in this mad place. Walking to the bus stop (in dodgy old Redfern) there was a man laying in the middle of the pavement and someone saying do you think he's dead? - we kept walking, then got to the quay where there was a man led on the grass covered in pigeons, another man smoking a fag with his tongue hanging out and another nutter jumping up lamp posts saying that the fire engine was coming to get him - bloody marvelous - days like that when i feel quite sane!!!
