Well hello there fellow country folk (and a few others!)

Well i think the last time i wrote i had just been for a trial in the sandwich shop - well i'm sure it goes without saying but i did indeed get the job and oh my god. i worked last Thursday and Friday and bloody hated it - the woman in charge spent the whole time shouting at me about stuff - like "hello woman its only a chuffing sandwich!!!!" Saying that though it is actually (can't believe am saying this) hard work. You have to make a squillion sandwiches whilst serving people, doing toast .......oh theres no way to explain, sounds like a piece of piss really but isn't, you shall all have to just trust me on this one.

Should have known from the first day it would be pants as i got out of bed at stupid o'clock trying to convince my eyes it was morning and that they should therefore try and come in to focus at somepoint, went to put my shoes on and oh yer you guessed it.....bloody cockroach in my shoe!!!!

Anyway being the dedicated employeee that i am, i went in again yesterday but by the end of the day had decided i could not be treated like a numbnut anymore ( i have a degree don't you know!) so told the woman i didnt like the job and that i wanted to leave. BUT being the kind person that i am said i would stay until she found someone else and oh my how today was different. Didn't get shouted at once, they kept saying how well i was working blah blah... so it would appear afterall that it is possible to be charming, beautiful, funny, intelligent, sophisticated AND good at making sandwiches - you know you've just either got it or you haven't!!! Have agreed to work this week and next and she has asked me to reconsider but haven't decided yet - if i can change the start time to mean leaving home at 6:15am as apposed to 5:15am i may contemplate it!!!

So anyway apart from my marvellous career things are going really well, am feeling very settled in now and really enjoying myself. Went to Manly on Saturday and soaked up a few rays - my god you should see the white bits (actually maybe not - might put you off your breakfast!) In the evening went round to Rodney and Zaras for a few bears and then went to homebar at Darling Harbour which was really good. Got a kebab (some things are the same no matter where you are in the world!), witnessed a fight and staggered home to bed at about 4am. Obviously this meant i couldn't get my arse out of bed on Sunday till about 3pm!!! but then went to the Outback Centre again to listen to the dijeridoo show - i love it, sod S-Club 7 i have a new taste in music these days!!!!

Me and Zara (oh guess should explain - Rodney is at uni with Alex and Zara is his girlfriend - they are irish) are thinking of joining either salsa or powerboxing classes so if i get mugged i can either beat the bugger up or dance round him!!! Shall keep you updated........

Hope that you are all well and still missing me lots!!! Miss you all, lots of love THE SANDWICH QUEEN xxxxxxx
