DECEMBER 2002
As you will know, the recent sad demise of Kit Thompson has left the position of President unfilled. However, I can reveal that the position has been offered to Dulcie Kunkler and that we hope to confirm her in that role very soon. Dulcie has been active in PVADS for many years and her memory of the society is full of treasures. She is a regular attender at committee meetings and we look forward many more years association.
I've sat in on several rehearsals and it is looking very good with a strong cast and a very funny script. The box office will open in the New Year, but group bookings are available already - please contact to Martin Clifton on 01672 810 436. Posters will appear around the village very soon. . . . .
I am in the initial stages of planning another theatre trip for a Thursday night in February or March. The Ballet was very good, but I think we'll go back to the popular heartland and do another musical (we know that we can do ballet now, but let's not overdo it). Two possibilities come to mind - Miss Saigon is on in Bristol, and there is a special cheap deal (limited offer we'd have to get in quick) for a new show in London called Contact. Or I'm open to suggestions. . . . . (01672 563 987)
